Kristen Fisackerly Arnold started designing jewelry in fall 2009 while procrastinating for a Psychology exam at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. She started designing her favorite things using polymer clay--gameboys, Mario mushrooms, and pancakes. Eventually she came to make book charms, one of her best-selling polymer clay jewelry pieces to-date. In between her Bachelor studies in English and Psychology, she continued to make jewelry and started to sell on Etsy, never expecting nor gaining much from it other than the occasional satisfaction from happy customers.

Over the years, Kristen designed more jewelry, taking inspiration from anime and her favorite series, Harry Potter, to make "kawaii" and "quirky" designs. Naturally she decided to name her shop "Uniqueables," and she still gets a small sense of accomplishment when people tell her how unique her items are without knowing the name of the store.

Kristen met her now-husband in her last year of undergrad and moved with him to complete her Master's in Psychology at Stephen F. Austin State University. She showed her jewelry at her first local events while there.

Kristen moved back home to Louisiana in 2013 with her fiance, continuing to improve her jewelry techniques and showing at small local craft fairs once or twice per year. She became married to William Arnold in October 2014 and decided to get more serious with her designs. She received a lot of free beading supplies from in-laws and started to learn basic wire-wrapping and beading.

From there, Kristen decided to branch out into metal-stamping, needing a break from the tediousness of small details and moving on to the tediousness of small lettered stamps. Today, Kristen actively works with polymer clay, beading, and metal stamping. She continues to improve and teach herself through Youtube and Instagram artists who post their techniques and help her with questions she asks. She continues to push herself to show her jewelry at larger events. Her dream is to own her own boutique where she can sell local handmade jewelry in the store front and offer a workshop in the back for budding artists.
